About Música Sacra en San Juan - November 21 to 28, 2012
After seven memorable days, on November 28, 2012, "Música Sacra en San Juan" ended with great success, an unprecedented event in our country that was held outside Europe for the first time, following the background of Musica Sacra International, which since 1992 it has been organized in Marktoberdorf, Germany, under the direction of Dolf Rabus.
For the Coro Arturo Beruti t is a great pride to have been able to organize, thanks to the support of the Government of the Province of San Juan, this long-awaited event that has brought together the artistic expressions of the five most widespread religions in the world through artists from Argentina, Japan, Indonesia, Germany, Nepal, the United States, Russia and Israel.
They have been performed:
It is estimated that a total of 40,000 people have been reached, due to the large number of people attending all the concerts, as well as the two full-room closing functions held at the Auditorio Juan Victoria
Complementary but no less important was the publication of a book in Spanish and English that contains all the programming, the background of the groups and their respective directors, as well as articles by specialists on issues related to the various religions involved in this first edition.
In addition, at each concert the respective printed programs were delivered with the original texts of the compositions and their translations or, in the case of dances and instrumental music, information on their origin and/or significance.
The spiritual and artistic impact of this event is immeasurable.
We have received with pride and happiness the unanimous expressions of emotion, both from the artists themselves and from the public, who in a very diverse conformation due to their place of origin, academic training or age (among other features) agreed with the clear perception of the transcendence of the message and the happiness of having been part of a fraternal meeting of creeds behind a motto: to build a path towards peace.
We invite everyone to visit our Facebook and our YouTube channel, where you will find all the information about participating artists, the comprehensive program, an important collection of photos and - very especially - more than 130 videos that testify to the high level of this artistic event and the profound spirituality that we have offered from San Juan.
It only remains for us - once again - to say thank you to everyone for the immense support received and the confidence in our cultural proposal.

Creator of Musica Sacra International (Marktoberdorf, Germany) and advisor: Dolf Rabus - Our principles:
-
Inspired by a similar event organized since 1992 in Marktoberdorf (Germany) under the initiative and organization of Modfestivals and the strong imprint of Dolf Rabus, we have held an International Meeting in San Juan with similar characteristics, mobilized by its goals:
- To bring the music of the main world religions to San Juan, Argentina and Latin America by organizing concerts in which Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and Bahá'ís meet and perform together.
- To provide a vision of the diverse cultures and manifestations of God in the search for greater mutual understanding, offering lectures, educational concerts and a complete program in two languages with articles by experts about religions and their music and all the texts of the interpretations offered at the concerts in the original language (whenever possible), with translations into Spanish and English.
- To promote greater understanding between people of different origins and thus make a contribution to peace in the world.
- To provide an opportunity for members of the various religious groups to contact more directly with the community.
- To support the improvement of peaceful coexistence in the world.
